When your hair slips out of an updo, a little shape makes a difference. ELLE’s gently undulating prongs help create grip in fine or silky hair, keeping your bun or half-up style comfortably in place.
Use it for a small bun, a relaxed French twist or a simple half-up knot. For thicker hair, a half-up style is often the better fit; the amount of hair and its length matter as much as its texture.

Fine or silky hair that tends to slip: the wavy prongs help provide added grip.
Fine to medium hair: suitable for small buns and French twists, depending on hair length and volume.
Thick hair: best considered for half-up styles; a full updo depends on how much hair needs to be held.
Twist the hair, catch a small section near the scalp, then turn and slide the prongs through the updo. Avoid forcing the fork into a tight bun.

Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or prolonged contact with water. Occasionally apply a small amount of suitable natural wood oil, then wipe away any excess. Store in its cotton pouch. Handle gently and do not force the prongs.
